Rainbow Bridge - This is Chloe's Story (passed on 10/12/09)
Chloe was found starving, soaking wet, covered in fleas and cold on the side of 380. She was taken in by one of the CCHS foster homes and given her first good meal in days... possibly ever.
She seemed to be doing well, her energy was up and she ate every last lick of her bowl. However, by day 5 in foster care her interest in food stopped and she became very lethargic. She was taken to the vet and tested for parvo and ran a fecal. The results were both negative but she was dehydrated so they admitted her to the hospital and immediately put her on an IV for the weekend.
We received a call Monday morning that she had began having slight seizures the night prior and was found deceased by morning. We have no idea what caused her demise... what we do know is that at least she did not die on the side of the road in the cold rain.
Thank you Cheryl for taking her off the streets. Thank you to Lori and Brendan for taking her into foster care and giving her lots of love and attention.
Although she wasn't with us long, she will always be in our hearts, prayers and memories. Rest in Peace Chloe.
