Rainbow Bridge - This is Donny's Story (passed on 09/22/09)

Donny and his siblings were dumped on the side of the road. Animal Control found them and took them to the local shelter where they waited for someone to claim them. No one ever came so they were split up into foster homes.

Donny and Marie both had upper respiratory infections and were put on antibiotics immediately. His sister pulled through but his cold progressively worsened over the weeks to come. It was soon evident that is wasn't a URI, but something much more sinister...Distemper.

We fought for 10 weeks... but in the end the disease won. On 9/22 we made the hard decision to put Donny to sleep. At that time he had not been able to eat on his own for 16 days and had hardening of the lungs and neurological damage.

Donny was such a sweet boy and will truly be missed. We know he is in a better place now and we will remember him always and forever.
