Collin County Humane Society Team Members

Molly Peterson - President / Director
Pres@CollinCountyHumaneSociety.org
Molly rescued her first dog from death row in 2000 and hasn't stopped since!
It was at a shelter in LA that she learned about dog rescue and soon thereafter served as the Vice
President for All Retriever's Friends in L.A.
Molly graduated with a BS in Psychology from California Lutheran University. When she moved to Texas,
she began working with Flower Mound Humane Society and also served on the intake team with DFW Lab
Rescue as well as fostering for DFW Cocker Rescue and Animal Guardians.
Now, as President of Collin County Humane Society, Molly does for animals what many can only dream of
doing as she continues to foster dogs in her own home. Molly’s husband, Eric, supports her
cause and is always helping her think of new and innovative ways to get the community involved.

Eric Peterson - Web Management
Fooze10@aol.com
Main Function: Support Molly and her crazy obsession with the furkids.
Eric was raised in a strictly cocker spaniel house growing up, so it took some adjusting when he met
Molly and her Lab family. It's taken some getting use to, but he has since fallen in love with all
the furkids and willingly joined CCHS to manage the website!
Eric was born in Richardson, TX but moved to Southern California when we was a baby. He grew up in Mission
Viejo and graduated with a BA from Cal State Fullerton. After graduation he moved back to TX to begin
a mortgage business with his dad. Eric now works for Bank of America in the Relocation Division and
spends his nights and weekends managing the many foster dogs and pups he and Molly have at any given
time! He also helps w/ transportation, home visits and adoption events on top of managing the ever
expanding website!!!

Lisa Weinstein - Treasurer
Tres@CollinCountyHumaneSociety.org
Lisa is new to the rescue world, officially, but unofficially she's been taking care of and helping
dogs for years!
Lisa is originally from Connecticut and moved to Plano at a young age.
From there she moved South to San Marcos to get her BA. Lisa has since returned to
the DFW area to pursue her creative ways as a buyer for Domistyle. She joined CCHS in March 2008 to
help track the finances, adoptions and donations. A huge thanks goes out to Lisa, we couldn't
function without her organizational skills! Lisa also helps w/ emergency foster situations;
for a full week, weekends, or even a few days, her foster help is greatly appreciated!
Lisa has a mixed breed dog named Percy who is a little firecracker!

Karen Creel - Secretary
Sec@CollinCountyHumaneSociety.org
Karen is our newly elected secretary for CCHS and is in charge of checking CCHS messages every day
and contacting anyone that leaves us a message. She also takes the minutes at our meetings, writes
thank you notes to everyone who donates to CCHS and puts together the welcome packets. Karen attends
a majority of the adoption events and helps make decisions for CCHS, she is truly an integral part of
the board!
Karen has always had a soft heart for animals especially dogs and her family has two dogs
which are both rescues. Ginger a cocker/jack russell mix and Lacey a Pek/Chi mix. Karen's two daughters also
share her love of rescuing dogs and found Lacey whose owners were an older couple that had to go
into assisted living. Karen loves the volunteer work she does for CCHS and also fosters many of CCHS
rescues which is greatly appreciated!

Ashley Pickering - Advisory Board Mentor
ashleynpickering@gmail.com
Ashley rescued her first dog (pictured here) while in college in North Carolina and hasn't stopped
since!
Ashley is an Advisory Board Member and her roll with CCHS includes helping to train new fosters to the
CCHS foster program. She covers the Wylie area.... and beyond. She helps train new recruits and
serves as their mentor as they take on the challenging roll of being a foster parent. Ashley's other roll
on the board involves making difficult decisions about CCHS goals and the needs of the dogs in the adoption program.
Ashley is married with 2 girls, one very patient husband, 4 dogs, and 2 cats that are always
running away from the dogs. Ashley and her entire family are all deeply involved with the process
of caring for and adopting out their fosters. "After all, the family that rescues together, stays together."

Stacy has five children, one grandson and drives a school bus for LISD. Stacy started rescuing 4
years ago when she lost her 14 year old Dalmatian and her basset needed a friend. She adopted her
first rescue at that time and has been fostering ever since!

Vanessa Brammer - Advisory Board Mentor
costarica629@yahoo.com
Vanessa was born and raised in Costa Rica. She came to the U.S.A. in '99 with a full scholarship and
attended Louisiana College. Taught E.S.L for grades K-9 for two years and then moved to Texas where
she has been residing for 6 years.
Vanessa is an Advisory Board Member and her roll with CCHS includes training new fosters to the
CCHS foster program and helping CCHS with their goal and plans. She covers the McKinney area and beyond
as she helps train new recruits and serves as their mentor as they take on the challenging roll of
being a foster parent.
Vanessa rescued and adopted Tago a yellow lab 5 years ago, then decided it was time for him to have a
sister and so she adopted Faith a shepherd mix from the Mckinney SPCA. A year ago Vanessa decided
she wanted to do more to help all the dogs that are being abused and neglected. So she
contacted CCHS and has been fostering puppies ever since!
Only with your help and the help of this wonderful team, does CCHS have the ability to save all the dogs they do!
